Travel dates and hotel stay
- The University of Michigan is making hotel reservations based on your feedback. PLEASE inform Devon Adjei (devaca@umich.edu), of your expected arrival in Accra, and the number of nights for which a hotel booking is required.
- The conference begins early Friday morning, July 22 and runs through 5:00 pm on Saturday, July 23.
- We will cover hotel stay for check-ins starting Thursday, July 21 and check-out Saturday, July 24.
Ground Transportation in Ghana
The University of Michigan will provide a modest stipend of $50 to cover local transportation to and from Accra for Ghanaian participants travelling from other cities.
Meals:
- Breakfast is provided at the hotel free of charge. Morning tea breaks, lunch and afternoon tea breaks are provided daily as part of the conference arrangements. There is a pre-paid group dinner arranged for Friday night (July 22).
- To cover lunch and dinner on the days when none is arranged (after your arrival and prior to the start of the conference). The per diem/reimbursement limits per meal will be as follows:
- Lunch: $30
- Dinner: $30
- Conference staff will provide you with your cash meal stipend for Thursday, July 21 and your travel stipend when you check-in to the conference.
