You must think I have no better things to do in life than to organize trips for tango - OK, there may be some truth to that but I get a rush out of doing it.
Motorcity Milongueros, a group from the Detroit Metro area based in Dearborn, will be celebrating their 14th anniversary on Friday, October 05. Our founding members took lessons with them before they started our club - so we do have ties with them.
Last year a bunch of us went there along with Vijay who DJed the evening for them - it was a good time.
This year I have been asked to DJ for them. For our Ann Arbor folks, they have offered to charge only $10 (as opposed to the $50 something they charge for their members for dinner etc). Dancing will begin at 9 pm. And they will have a show at 10 followed by dancing again till whenever.
Please let me know if you are interested so I can make a list of people coming and give it to them before Friday.
Also, we can meet at a restaurant in Dearborn before the milonga for dinner. I love Lashish - great fare for all dietary patterns - but we can go some place else if the majority decides otherwise. Don't forget to invite others but make sure I have a list of names of those of you coming by Thursday. I want to encourage everyone to use the discussion forum on our website for carpooling purposes.
