[edit] Company Information and Screening Databases
- Information on public and private firms in Asia and North America, including industry reports on some industries.
- Use the "Build A List" feature to screen for companies based on various criteria.
- Good tool for identifying US public or private companies by various criteria, including a zip code radius search.
- Information on US and large foreign public companies, including easy access to 15 years worth of financials downloadable in Excel.
- Use the "My Mergent Tools" feature to create lists and compare companies, executives, etc.
- Information on public and private firms from around the world. Currently has data on 85 million firms.
- Extensive company information and recruiting contacts for nearly 1 million potential employers and more than 200 countries.

American Firms Operating in Foreign Countries (Ross users only)
- This database incorporates the data from the print directories, "American Firms Operating in Foreign Countries" and "Foreign Firms Operating in the United States".
- Listings include corporate HQ address and officer information, industry code, and foreign location address and telephone. Search by company location, industry code, parent company, revenue or keyword.
Foreign Firms Operating in the US (Ross users only)
- Incorporates the data from the print directories, "American Firms Operating in Foreign Countries" and "Foreign Firms Operating in the United States".
- Listings include corporate HQ address and officer information, industry code, and foreign location address and telephone. Search by company location, industry code, parent company, revenue or keyword.
- Market data and worldwide company financial and related information such as company statistics, analyst reports and funding transactions. ThomsonONE contains data from: ThomsonONE Banker, Thomson Research and VentureXpert.
- Note: ThomsonONE only displays properly in Internet Explorer.

Standard & Poor’s NetAdvantage
- Good starting place for info on an industry with information such as current environment, trends, key ratios and statistics on 55 different North American industries.
- Covers a wide range of industries. Individual reports include information such as product and service segmentation, barriers to entry, and major players.
- Start with a keyword search for either the company or industry. On the first screen for the industry report, you will see the leading companies listed as "Major Players Referenced".
- BMO provides industry surveys for over 100 countries worldwide. The industries covered include automobiles, food and drink, tourism, Pharmaceuticals, and others.
- Please note that reports are not available for all industries and countries.
- The Freedonia Group's Focus collection contains nearly 700 market research reports covering 18 industry sectors and 17 countries..
Global Business Intelligence (GBI)
- GBI's coverage focuses on chemicals, clean technology, medical equipment, mining, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, power, and semiconductors.
- Provides industry sector analysis, research, trends and statistics for 29 different industries. Archival reports are also available.

- Fulltext coverage of over 6,000 newspapers, newswires, magazines and trade publications, including the Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, Business Week and Forbes.
