  • Great source for information on development across the world
  • At the top of the screen, change the first drop down to search for the "Latin American Collection" - you can search also to find additional titles
  • Each of these books can be downloaded as a single PDF document

[edit] EIU (Economist Intelligence Unit)

  • One of the best sources for exploring the political and economic conditions in a country or region
  • Use this for great country and regional reports and forecasts
  • You can also see historical reports that will allow you to track and record changes in the economic environment

  • Excellent source for news and industry reports on the developing countries of the world
  • Their approach is to include South America with Latin America
  • The easiest way to use this resource is to select a country from the first screen (by clicking on its name) and then search from within - this would be ideal to check for news articles on Wal-Mart in Mexico for example

  • This is a great way to get regional and country reports on numerous sectors on the economy including:

Autos, Chemicals, Commercial Banking, Defence & Security, Food & Drink, Freight Transport, Information Technology, Infrastructure, Insurance, Mining, Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Power, Telecommunications, and Tourism
