SIC
From Kresge Library
Compiled by Corey Seeman
The (SIC) is maintained by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration or the U.S. Department of Labor. It has been replaced with NAICS (North American Industry Classification System) as the standard used by Federal statistical agencies in classifying business establishments for the purpose of collecting, analyzing, and publishing statistical data related to the U.S. business economy. However, SIC codes are still used in many databases offered by Kresge Library.
