International Sustainability Indicators Network
- Member-based organization uses listservs, special programs and training, virtual meetings and more to help sustainability practitioners communicate and share information. Resources include ISIN original content and links to other web information.
Sustainable Business Consulting
- Sustainable Business Consulting offers research, articles and other links related to sustainability.
- Website for the consultancy/think tank includes research reports on Business Strategy and Innovation, Corporate Governance and Reporting, Socially-Responsible Investing, Emerging Economies and Globalization. Also includes case studies, surveys and results, and current issue briefs.
- Founded in 1996 to "apply systems thinking and organizational learning to economic, environmental and social challenges," the Institute's website offers tools and simulations to help organizations achieve sustainability, papers and research dealing with specific environmental and sustainability issues and information on workshops and consulting services.
University of Michigan's Campus Sustainability Information
- Includes information on sustainability programs at the Ann Arbor campus, a community of nearly 76,000 students, faculty, and staff. The programs at the University of Michigan focused on six primary areas:
World Business Council for Sustainable Development
- CEO-led, global association of companies focused on business and sustainable development. The WBCSD website features news, case studies and reports on issues including energy efficient buildings, sustainable supply chains and capacity building.

Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes
- Founded in 1999, the DJSI now includes several global indexes comprised of the world's largest corporations (DJSI World, DJSI STOXX, DJSI Euro STOXX, DJSI North America, DJSI US), and weighted by sustainability criteria (DJSI World 80, DJSI World ex US 80, DJSI STOXX 40, DJSI Euro STOXX 40, DJSI North American 40, DJSI US 40). Free registration includes access to the index constiuents; website also includes information on criteria for inclusion, annual reviews and news.
- The FTSE4Good index excludes companies in the tobacco, arms and nuclear power industries. Inclusion is based on criteria in five categories: environmental sustainability; human rights and countering bribery; supply chain labor standards and climate change.
The Global 100: Most Sustainable Corporations in the World
- Innovest Strategic Value Advisors Inc. and Corporate Knights Inc. sponsor this list, which is compiled using criteria based on companies'performance in social, environmental and governance issues. Website includes information on methodology and criteria, as well as access to previous years' lists.
- Management and Excellence is a research firm offering company rankings based on ethics, sustainability, corporate governance, transparency and corporate social responsibility. The company's major focus is on the oil industry, with a specialization in Latin American firms. Company rankings and other studies include the most sustainable oil and oil service companies, as well as various Latin American industries.
- The Roberts Environmental Center at Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California, issues industry sector analysis and rankings based on the PSI. Website includes information on the methodology and the index composition, as well as sector reports listing the annual rankings and other related research.
