Working with the Collection Manager includes information about the collmgr program. Collection managers use this CGI program, which is delivered as part of the DLXS installation, to enter and edit information in the collection metadata database.

Working with the Collection Metadata Database includes information about the MySQL database containing metadata about the collection data you intend to deliver via the DLXS middleware. Some examples of metadata stored in this database are: collection id, collection name, host for collection data, which collections belong to which groups, what XML regions in the data are available for searching in the simple search page, etc. This section contains information about the structure, configuration, and uses of database files. It also contains information on setting up dynamic browsing.
