Portsmouth, Rhode Island
Built: 1901
This 60-foot tall caisson-supported cast-iron lighthouse is similar in design to many built during the 1871-1915 period. It replaced the Hog Island Lightship that had been on station here since 1886. It is located near, and can be seen from, the Mount Hope River Bridge. The light is now automated.
