Built: 1936
Located on the hazardous Gray's Reef near the main shipping channel west of the Straights of Mackinac, this light station replaced Federal Lightship No. 57, one of the first lightships to serve on the Great Lakes. This light station is only manned once a year, in the summer, to monitor the vessels in the Chicago to Mackinac Yacht Race.
