Kyle of Lochalsh, Scotland, U.K.
Built: 1857
Automated: 1960
Decommissioned: 1995
This 69 foot tall, white conical tower is located on the small island of Eilean Ban. It sits beneath the Skye bridge, which connects mainland Scotland to the Isle of Skye off the western coast of Scotland. It was designed by David and Thomas Stevenson. The light is not operational any more as navigational lights are now displayed on the bridge instead.
