This light is currently owned by the Great Lakes Lighthouse Keeper's Association, and in the process of restoration to its 1920 appearance. It is open to the public on weekends and holidays during the summer for a small fee. It still serves as an active aid to navigation, but mostly to guide pleasure craft entering the river.
