Hampton, Virginia
Built: 1802
This light is located on the north side of the entrance to Hampton Roads near Fort Monroe. It is the second oldest lighthouse on the Chesapeake Bay. Having been badly damaged during the Civil War, the tower was restored to its original condition after the war. Still active, the lighthouse grounds are open to the public, and the light is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
