Leelenau Peninsula, Michigan

Built: 1858

Decommissioned: 1972

Guarding the entrance to Grand Traverse Bay out on the tip of Cat's Head Point, this lighthouse was replaced by a "functional" steel frame light, but the building is now home to a Michigan historical museum.
