Grand Traverse Light
From lighthouses
Leelenau Peninsula, Michigan
Built: 1858
Decommissioned: 1972
Guarding the entrance to Grand Traverse Bay out on the tip of Cat's Head Point, this lighthouse was replaced by a "functional" steel frame light, but the building is now home to a Michigan historical museum.
