Prospect Harbor, Maine

Built: 1891

Automated: 1951

This 38-foot conical, wood framed tower and one and a half story keeper's dwelling replaced the original 1850 lighthouse constructed on this site. That original lighthouse was deactivated from 1859 to 1870, but the current light remains active today. Located on the east side of the inner harbor entrance, it is now on the grounds of a Navy Special Operations Command installation.
