[edit] How to Load a New Document to the Wiki
1. Log in to the wiki (https://comm.nsdl.org/account//login.php). If you don't log in you won't be able to upload files (or even see the link to let you upload files!).
2. Go to the project file page at https://comm.nsdl.org/project/showfiles.php?group_id=117. This page is available off of the project summary site (https://comm.nsdl.org/projects/oai-best/) either from the tabs at the top of the screen (file - the very last tab) or from a link in the middle of the page called View All Project Files.
3. At the top of this screen click the link called To upload a new file, click here..
4. This is where you actually upload the file. The fields that you should use are:
- Brief file description. Add descriptive information such as "Example of an Identify response" or "Notes from the March 10 Conference Call" since this information serves as the titles of the documents on the Documents page in the wiki.
- File Name. This is where you actually upload the document.
- File type: You must choose a file type. For xml files choose 'other'.
- Full File Description: Add a brief description of the file. Again this displays on the Documents page in the wiki.
5. Click upload. You should get a page that tells you that the file has been updated.
6. You can then link to the document. The URL is usually "http://comm.nsdl.org/download.php / file identifier (assigned by the system) / file name" . You can right click on the link and copy the link location.
