I was born in Detroit and raised in the suburbs. Living in a small city of only one square mile, I grew up very close to all the families of the community. I went to public school up until my sophomore year of high school, then transferred to a private Jewish high school for the rest of high school. I spent every summer from when I was 7 until last summer at a summer camp in Algonquin Park, way up north in Ontario. My summers spent at camp have left me with a deep appreciation for the wilderness and all of the earth's natural wonders. Aside from the outdoors, I am also very passionate about music. I am not very skilled at any instrument, so my passion lies in the music industry and culture that surrounds it. I have a very eclectic taste in music, and enjoy everything from jazz to electronic music. Doing something that I love and am passionate about is very important to me; I hope to be able to eventually use my passions to drive innovation and inspire change in our society.
