The Greatest Running Shoe Never Sold

Lenn Hann created a new running shoe that didn't use ethylene-vinyl acetate, or EVA, which adds weight to the shoe. Instead he used carbon fiber that did not add as much weight to the shoe and "consumed an average of 2.2 percent less oxygen"; this made a huge difference when running long distances. Hann was in negotiation with Under Armor and he ended up rejecting their last offer, after working with Hann in the lab to help develop his shoe. I feel like Under Armor kind of stole Hann's idea; Under Armor still saw the makings of Hann's shoe. After Hann rejected their offer (hoping for a better offer), Under Armor decided to not with with Hann anymore. Not that much later, Under Armor launched their new Charge RC running shoe. Under Armor said that they ended up using a different form of carbon fiber. Hann was screwed out of money that he deserved. http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/the-greatest-running-shoe-never-sol...
