the author makes a very interesting point that copywriting is limiting the spread of art and knowledge in society. Reading this article made me remember a documentary film i read about music mashups by the artist Girl Talk. He made his own mixes of different copywrited music and created a whole new piece of art from it. These types of new creations are being limited by the current laws.
