I talked to a couple of students and well this is what I got.
I. Jewish student
Q. Based on your cultural/religious background, What food are holy and alcohol viewed?
A. Well I don't keep Kosher.
Q. Why?
A. My parents never cared, so I don't follow the Jewish laws.
Q. Then what things hold a particular cultural value to you then?
A. The Jewish star and most importantly the Matza Ball Soup.
[Even though the laws were not enforced in his family there are certain aspects that keeps the cultural value such as Food]
II. Chinese Exchange student
Q. How often do people bath from where you come from?
A. Depends, some people don't have water for some time, so a bath is a privilege. For larger cities it is like anywhere, mostly everyday except on cold days.
Q. What about dental hygiene?
A. That is quite different. It is fine with just brushing your teeth twice, floss is uncommon.
Q. Are perfumes used?
A. Yes, but on special occasion.
[Hygiene depends on the availability]
III. American student
Q. How often do people bath?
A. Good week - everyday
Bad week - every other day
Q. What is your view of cleanliness?
A. Looking good.
Q. View of soap?
A. Smelling good.
Q. Does the way people handle garbage affects politics and tourism?
A. Garbage are put in landfills and it depends if people tour landfills.
IV. Latin American student
Q. How are tourism viewed>
A. Tourism can be viewed as a manner of determining social status, education, and mere recreation.
It is welcomed as a formed of demonstrating country pride, increasing wealth through commerce, etc.
It would be avoided... if the people of a country dislike a particular kind of tourists or perhaps because of an odd sense of isolation.
It might be feared... as it might bring a bad reputation on a country or the ideas or people brought are unwelcomed.
Q. Are these man made or natural?
A. Natural.
