(Because I'm international I thought it would be interesting to talk to someone from America. The subject is Foreign Impact.)
Work is outsourced and in-sourced. Outsource jobs to pay less taxes through companies, mostly manufacturing for more profit. Bad for economy because we lose jobs. In-sourced in a sense with presence of illegal immigrants working for less than minimum wage. However, they don't pay taxes, no money for government and no jobs for citizens.
Most goods are not produced domestically, and are imported from abroad. Depends, because free trade agreement (eg with korea) those are going ot be cheaper because economy is geared towards making those. Tariff makes imported goods more expensive, thus encouraging domestic goods. Can make domestic companies lose market share depending on existence of tariff.
People come here to work from other countries, mostly for revenue and security. These workers require minimum qualifications, menial labour jobs are normally taken by them. Higher order jobs may create competition for the position locally, and thus may require higher qualifications.
