hES Cell Culture Techniques Training Course

The Core offers training courses throughout the year in hES cell culture: maintenance, transfection, differentiation, MEF derivation, quality control. Please contact us if you have an interest in training via our contact form.

The Michigan Center for hES Cell Research offers a training course on the culture of human pluripotent stem cells.

Applicants must have at least one year of mammalian tissue culture experience, and be willing to allocate 4 consecutive half-days to the training course. The next proposed training will take place in our facilities in BSRB April 22-25, 2014. The course will provide you with extensive training in the culture and maintenance of hES cells in their pluripotent state, and assessment of pluripotency. Please email stemcellcenter@umich.edu to inquire or enroll in the course.

The $1439 cost includes the use of the cells, tissue culture supplies and necessary media components, and one month use of the Core facilities for UofM researchers. We will limit the number of trainees to four.

No hES cells or products are allowed to be removed from the Core lab.
