Aran Islands, Co Galway, Ireland
Built: 1878
When the light on Inishmore was discontinued in 1857, local fishermen found Killeany Bay and Kilronan without a light. After much active campaigning, a light was finally built at the entrance to Killeany Bay, on Straw Island, 21 years later.
