This still active light is located on Menagerie Island about two miles off the southern shore of Isle Royale in Lake Superior. The 61 foot tall, octagonal sandstone tower is attached to a two story red sandstone keepers quarters, and originally held a fourth order Fresnel lens. The light is part of the Isle Royale National Park.
