This 35-foot tall white, octagonal, brick structure sits on a cast iron/concrete caisson in Chesapeake Bay 2 miles offshore, 6 miles north of Point Lookout. It has a focal plane 52 feet above the water, and was originally equipped with a 4th order Fresnel lens.
