Faulkner's Island, Connecticut
Built: 1802
Automated: 1978
This 40-foot tall octagonal brownstone tower stands in the middle of the island which is located about three miles offshore, south of Guilford. Thanks to the Faulkner's Light Brigade, a private, non-profit organization, the light is in the process of being saved from erosion and vandalism.
