Reedsport, Oregon
Built: 1894
Automated: 1966
This 65 foot tall conical tower is made of brick with a stucco covering. It holds a first-order Fresnel lens that has a focal plane 165 feet above sea level and can be seen 19 miles out to sea. It is located along the Pacific coast, above the entrance to Winchester Bay at the mouth of the Umpqua River. This is the second lighthouse erected on this site, the first having been built in 1857. The first light collapsed in 1861.
