Digby Pier Light in 2009 - 50th trip

Saint John, New Brunswick

Built: 1903

Decommissioned: ?

This 9 meters (29 feet) tall lighthouse was originally located on Digby Pier at the Nova Scotia end of the Saint John – Digby ferry run. It was decommissioned when the pier was deemed unsafe, moved and given to the city of Saint John in 1984 to be part of the newly renovated Market Slip area. It replaced the first light on the Digby Pier, which was established in 1887.
