Chapel Hill, New Jersey

Built: 1856

This light is the last wooden rear range light of its kind in New Jersey. It sits up the hill at an elevation of 224 feet above sea level about one and a half miles south of the beach and the Conover Beacon. It ranges with the Conover Beacon to mark Chapel Hill Channel where it empties into Sandy Hook Bay. Today, it is a private residence.
