New London Ledge Light
From lighthouses
New London, Connecticut
Built: 1909
Automated: 1987
This light marks the ledge of rock it rests on and the long shoal extending from it. The square three-story brick structure sits on a 50-foot square concrete pier. The tower and lantern rise out of the center of the roof. It is now a museum, guest house and educational facility operated by the New London Ledge Lighthouse Foundation.
