Seven Foot Knoll Light
From lighthouses
Baltimore, Maryland
Built: 1855
Automated: 1948
Decommissioned: 1987
This light is built entirely of iron and in a circular design, which makes it unique among the Chesapeake Bay's screwpile lighthouses. It was moved to its present location on Pier 5 of Baltimore's Inner Harbor in 1988 from its original location on the Patapsco River. It is the oldest surviving screwpile lighthouse.
