Summerside Outer Range Lights
From lighthouses
Summerside, Prince Edward Island
Built: 1991
The rear range light (left in top photo, right in bottom photo) is a 10 meter (33 foot) square wood tower with lantern and gallery, painted white with red trim. There is a vertical red daymark on a board mounted on the gallery.
The front range light (right in top photo, left in bottom photo) is practically identical to the rear light except it is 9 meters (30 feet) tall.
Both lights are still active and located at the western end of Summerside guiding boat traffic into Summerside Harbour. The rear light sits along Water Street, while the front light is just down MacKenzie Drive on the shore.
