Portpatrick, Scotland, U.K.

Built: 1900

Automated: 1988

This 72 foot tall, white conical tower has an elevation 161 feet above sea level. Its light shines 25 miles out into the North Channel along the southwest coast of Scotland. When this light came into operation in October of 1900, the Portpatrick Light was discontinued. The Killantringan Light was designed by David Alan Stevenson and is still active today.
