Murray Harbour Range Lights
From lighthouses
Murray Harbour, Prince Edward Island
Built: 1879
The front range light (right in photo) is a 6 meter (20 foot) square pyramidal wood tower with lantern, painted white with red trim and a vertical red stripe on the seaward side.
The rear range light (left in photo) is a 14 meter (45 foot) square pyramidal wood tower with lantern and gallery, painted white with a red lantern and a vertical red stripe on the seaward side. It is located about 1.5 km (almost a mile) southwest of the front range light, in a field on private property.
These range lights mark the entrance to Murray Harbour on the southeastern tip of PEI, just around the Murray Head from the Cape Bear Light.
