This still active light marks the entrance to the St. Mary's River at the northern end of Lake Huron. The original Fresnel lens from the light is presently on display in the DeTour Passage Historical Museum. The DeTour Reef Light Preservation Society is undertaking plans to renovate the structure both inside and out.
