Summerside, Prince Edward Island

Built: 1930

Automated: 1959

This 13 meter (42 foot) light has an octagonal cylindrical tower with lantern and gallery, rising from a 1-story octagonal base, mounted on a concrete foundation. It sits at the end of a rough stone breakwater 0.5 km (0.3 mi) long, which extends out from MacCallum's Point and forms the southern side of the harbour at Summerside. The breakwater is underwater at high tide, but nearly dry (and accessible) at low tide.
