This 63 foot tall stucco-clad cylindrical brick tower rises from the center of the assistant keeper's dwelling. Originally 92 feet tall, it was lowered in 1927 because of cracking in the tower. It is located at the end of a five mile long sand spit reaching out into the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Dungeness Spit is said to be the longest natural spit in the world.
