This 13.4 meters (44 feet) tall lighthouse was originally located on Fishing Point at the east side of the entrance to Puwash Harbor and the Pugwash River. This 13.4 meters (44 feet) tall lighthouse was originally located on Fishing Point at the east side of the entrance to Puwash Harbor and the Pugwash River. Its "schoolhouse" design with a square tower rising from one end of the rectangular dwelling’s gabled-roof is uncommon in Canada, but was frequently used in the United States. It was replaced by the Current Pugwash Light in 1961, and moved to a nearby farm, where it sits today.
