If you are linguistics faculty, staff, or grad student, you should be able to edit any page here. You need to login by clicking on the 'Login via CoSign' button in the upper right corner of the page. Use your regular UMich uniqname and password.
Don't hesitate to make changes - they can easily be undone. If you're not sure, though, use the 'discussion' page attached to the page you'd like to edit. If you want to keep abreast of changes to a page, 'watch' it.

- When I try to edit, I get an edit window, but I can't type in it. It says guests can't edit.
- Answer: Click on 'log in using cosign' in the upper right corner. That will tell it who you are, and it will let you edit (if you are linguistics faculty, staff, or grad student).
- It makes me log in via cosign even when I just want to view a page, not edit.
- Answer: If you type in a URL, or click on a link, that begins with 'https:', it gives you a secure connection. You have to log in for that. If you just want to view, use 'http:'.
- How do I change the name of a page? The page is currently called 'Foo', but a better name is 'Foo in Linguistics'.
- Answer: You cannot change the name of an existing page. It is possible to create a new page and copy the contents of the old page over to it, but that it generally a last resort. If you want the link to say 'Foo in Linguistics', but have it point to 'Foo', then do this:

- What comes before the vertical bar is the page name, and what comes after is the way the link displays.
- What if the old page is called 'Foo in Linguistics', but we want people to be able to find it by searching for just 'Foo'?
- Answer: Create 'Foo' as a redirect page. Create it as a new page, but make its entire contents be:

- and it will be a synonym for 'Foo in Linguistics'.
