If you are linguistics faculty, staff, or grad student, you should be able to edit any page here. You need to login by clicking on the 'Login via CoSign' button in the upper right corner of the page. Use your regular UMich uniqname and password.

Don't hesitate to make changes - they can easily be undone. If you're not sure, though, use the 'discussion' page attached to the page you'd like to edit. If you want to keep abreast of changes to a page, 'watch' it.

Answer: If you type in a URL, or click on a link, that begins with 'https:', it gives you a secure connection. You have to log in for that. If you just want to view, use 'http:'.
