Other Open projects at Michigan

Updates to existing content on Open.Michigan (suggested by someone at DLPS):

• For the University of Michigan page (under community), should University Library also be listed? Since they are the makers of all of the listed Archives and Publishing projects? Or more specifically, the DLPS, SPO, as well as University Library (Deep Blue is part of UL). --- this has been discussed multiple times. we need to invite paul courant into the conversation and get his support. Pieter 19:42, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
• Deep Blue description should mention that it's a library project. --- deep blue approved this description, but we can add that piece. Pieter 19:42, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
• MBooks, should be changed to HathiTrust, a shared digital repository, etc. The link to Mirlyn could also link to the HathiTrust Base Hathi Trust Digital Library search page in the Mirlyn Library Catalog. Add link to the HathiTrust.org as well. --- we should take a stab at updating the description for them and send it to them. Pieter 19:42, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
• Update description for OAIster --- you'll have to clarify Pieter 19:42, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

Projects which should be added to Open.Michigan

• DLPS Collections: --- are these all Open Access projects? Pieter 19:42, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
• Access listed at http://quod.lib.umich.edu/cgi/c/collsize/collsize?summ=all. 150 out of 316 collections have public access
• Note: The DLPS text collections will be moved to HathiTrust but that migration will not be complete for ~2 years. A DLPS staffer requested that press be focused on HathiTrust over the older DLXS (DLPS) text collections
• Open Source Projects on Source Forge
• Other Projects
• Jack recently mentioned to the current SI 519 class that the University is distributing this to others for free, but I don't see any mention of that on the BAYU website yet --- this is probably something they aren't advertising yet, but we should be on the lookout for when it is advertised. • Write to Thomas Zurbuchen about projects at the engineering school
• Center for Entrepreneurship - School of Engineering // videos
