Audio and Video Tools

If you're looking to narrate the PowerPoint lecture on your own, there are some relatively easy-to-learn tools that you could use to practice in preparation for Tuesday. You can actually narrate from within Powerpoin itself, but there are other methods that are better. These are either free or have a free trial, as well as some good how-to guides:
Some tips on how to structure the content (e.g. short length, visuals, etc)

- Narrated lectures: Slideshare (http://www.slideshare.net/cmkraut/creating-narrated-presentations-with-slideshare-narrated), http://camstudio.org/, TechSmith has some good products (http://www.techsmith.com/products.html, if you do Jing, I recommend the paid version because it will generate MP4s which are more flexible formats)
- Basic audio recording: Many smart phones have pretty good audio recording applications, there's also Audacity (audacity.sourceforge.net)
- Handheld video camera: http://pocket-camcorder.toptenreviews.com/. We've been pleased with Zoom Q series: http://www.zoom.co.jp/products/q3hd/. There are many varieties now. iPhone and iPad takes good video. Android is OK but not as clear as the alternatives.
- iPad apps for video production: Pinnacle Studio ($13), iMovie ($5), Coach's Eye ($5), Explain Everything ($3)
