The Migration Tool is meant to allow seamless integration of the Content Processing Tool OERca with an institution's Learning Management System (LMS) or in U-M's case, CTools, a Sakai-based Collaboration and Learning Environment. The Migration Tool interfaces with CTools to choose and deposit course materials into the Content Processing Tool. While CTools (Sakai) is built in Java and the Content Processing Tool is built in PHP, the Migration Tool is PHP-based but uses web-services (SOAP) to complete its calls.
