What to Expect on Your First Day

1. An experienced member should greet you as you walk into the pool area. If not just tell someone that you are new.

3. The member will assist you in selecting a kayak and equipment.

4. You will learn about adjusting the kayak to fit yourself.

5. You will learn how to enter the kayak while the boat is in the water.

6. Once in the boat, the instructor will inform you of the proper exiting procedure.

7. You will then flip the boat over and exit the boat under water.

8. The instructor will then teach you a few basic paddle strokes: forward, sweep, and reverse.
