Jourimain Island, New Brunswick

Built: 1870

Decommissioned: 1997

This 16 meters (53 feet) tall octagonal wood tower is located near the New Brunswick end of the Confederation Bridge, which links New Brunswick to Prince Edward Island. It was deactivated when the bridge was completed. It is located in the Cape Jourimain National Wildlife Area, which is interpreted by the non-profit organization known as the Cape Jourimain Nature Centre.
