Built: 1876

Decommissioned: 1959

This light is located on Lake Ontario 30 miles east of the mouth of the Niagara River, and 45 miles west of Rochester. The tower is 54 feet tall and the light is 78 feet above lake level. Both the tower and two-story dwelling are made of unpainted gray stone and are now part of Golden Hill State Park. This light was the featured Lake Ontario lighthouse on the Great Lakes Lighthouse series of U.S. Postage stamps issued in 1995.
