West Point, Prince Edward Island

Built: 1876

Automated: 1963

This distinctive 20.6 meter (67 foot) light stands at the southwestern tip of PEI, overlooking the Northumberland Strait and marking the western entrance to Egmont Bay. It is still an active light. The square pyramidal wood tower has a reconstructed 2-story wood keeper's house which serves as a lighthouse museum, country inn, restaurant and craftshop.
