Functionality Questions

The following issues/questions came up during the August 28, 2009 meeting discussing the OERca2 interface and interactions.

Access, Roles, Users

• different orgs/different objects (separate?)
• user roles -- read only access to modules? access to what? how do we set this up?
• define user preferences
• crowdsourcing: do we keep access to comments separate?

Workflow

• do we allow for multiple workflows
• state machines for the various workflows?
• how to distinguish documents (edited vs. edited+cleared)

Metadata

• show/allow metadata mapping for users
• export the metadata sets you create (import as well)
• cloning metadata (add this term somewhere)
• keyword suggestions - what would this look like?

Misc

• email in comments to objects (must you be logged in?)
• 3 options for export (download original, download recomp, download recomp + images?)
• permissions -- how to integrate the permission process
