[edit] Week 1 Summary Email
Faculty Input
- - If you have not heard any thing from your faculty members since your initial email, please follow up with them ASAP. Let pieter or me know if there are any issues where you feel we may need to intervene.
Group input on images
- - We created a flickr account for all of us to use to share images we're stuck on or would like others to comment on. When you have an image you want to share, go to flickr.com and enter into the user name box: open.dscribe@yahoo.com The password is 1.silky! Once logged in you'll see the group name: Open@UM
- - When you post an image, send an email out to the group letting others know there is an image there for review.
- - Be conscious of the size of the image when uploading, as we only have 100MB at the moment (free account for now).
Meeting Update
- - Next week, we will meet at 11am here at the OET. If you have any time conflicts or need to set up for a virtual connection, let us know soon. We plan to have a work session after the meeting ends.
New Sequences
- - (for med student dScribes) As mentioned when we began, we expect to clear more than the single sequence we assigned two weeks ago. The order of the next sequences to clear are as follows:
- M1 GI/Liver
- M1 HGD
- M1 Embryo
- M1 Endo/Repro
- M1 Patients & Populations
- M1 Histopatholgy (slightly different story here....)
- Let us know what sequences may interest you and whether you are able to move on to them soon.
Histology Slides
- - We are working with Tamara to confirm how we will be able to use the U-M Histology Images. As discussed in the Team meeting, attempt to find images from the two Lab Orientation lectures on the Histology site. http://www.med.umich.edu/histology/immuno/lymphatic_system.html (drop down - select Lab Orientation.)
