Winter 2009 dScribe Meeting 1: January 14

- Group Assignments: We've got over twenty dScribes this semester and four dScribe2s this semester. We've divided the dScribes into teams of 4 - 6 and assigned them a dScribe. Each team is named after various "opening" devices (we had to throw in the word open): dynamite, church key, crowbar, and double click;
- System Requirements: We began by making sure that each student had the appropriate software installed on their laptops.
- High-level walk-through of dScribe Tasklist
- We introduced the dScribes to the seven main components with of the dScribe Tasklist.
- Then we completed the first step, Introduction, at the info session, we walked them step-by-step through steps 2 (Training), 3 (Organize Materials), and 4 (Analyze Content). We touched briefly on the next step, Recommending Actions.
- We will regularly post agendas & update the FAQ from dScribes based on the questions we receive at the dScribe meetings.
- dScribe2s will send weekly summary/task list emails to their team.
